I found the course be well built and guided me through the different steps of data governance implementation. Working with data governance for years most of this knowledge was not new to me but I believe that the help in reenforcing this knowledge and expanding it to parts I didn't yet work with, will help me improve in future assignments. I actually learned more practical, clear to apply concepts, hands-on tools than when I read the DAMA DMBOK2. Exactly What You Need
This course covers everything you need to know in order to get started and set up your data governance program. The courses were detailed enough, and I found the total length of this course to be just right. I took notes on every video and now have my own written handbook/quick reference guide.
George delivers high quality material, information, and explanations. I loved the explanation of the operating model, doing the ad-hoc assessment, and how all of that ties in to building your strategy, TOR, and scope documents. He also helped make Principles, Policies, and Standards practical and tangible for me.
I've already used some learnings to guide my customers on best practices, and can be more prescriptive in my guidance. I also have this course to point them to in order to learn more.
I would recommend this course to anyone who is familiar with the theory, but needs to get the ball rolling and wants to know where to actually start, and what specifically to do.

Great foundation
I was basically thrown into a position where my team was given the task of helping our client at the VA to stand up data governance at the enterprise level. You can read as many books as you want, pass as many certification exams, etc, but that by no means makes you an expert. Having someone break down things that could work, things that have caused failure, and learning points put a good spin on the information.
