I found the course be well built and guided me through the different steps of data governance implementation. Working with data governance for years most of this knowledge was not new to me but I believe that the help in reenforcing this knowledge and expanding it to parts I didn't yet work with, will help me improve in future assignments. One thing I will use for sure is the templates, as most companies seem to lack good existing templates for data governance.

I'm not going to lie; the data is a bit dry, but this is data governance. However, the material was presented in an organized and thoughtful way. I've asked others in my company who will be involved with our data governance program to take this course. I will definitely be using the templates as guides to build out my company's data governance program.

This is a great course for those who are wanting a comprehensive understanding of implementing Data Governance within their organizations! Really enjoyed the course.

I was basically thrown into a position where my team was given the task of helping our client at the VA to stand up data governance at the enterprise level. You can read as many books as you want, pass as many certification exams, etc, but that by no means makes you an expert. Having someone break down things that could work, things that have caused failure, and learning points put a good spin on the information.

Hands down, the best course for Data Governance.

The course is a great course. I clearly understood all the explained topics. George is an amazing instructor and explains everything crystal clear.

This practical course provided a clear overview of data governance implementation, framework, policies, and best practices. While it took me a year to finish this short course, I sequentially applied this course to my real-life work, from data strategy to practical overaching principles.

I used the templates such as data source inventory, policy template, and comms plan. etc.

I gained to develop a strategy, framework & roadmap, and practical policies that recently gained buy-in from the senior management.

I think this course gave a great foundation for Data Governance. Speaking from someone who albeit a programmer had no experience in the field of Data Governance.

This course was thoughtfully designed to help people understand data governance from scratch. George used illustrations that make each concept stick to the brain. Overall, it is a great course.

I have watched many of the LOD videos on Youtube. I feel that this course was great on the level of implementation.
In some cases, it did feel as though we were just receiving a number of bullet points as opposed to fully fleshed-out concepts, but this might be my view only because I am completely new to this field.

Great concept, simple but detailed enough, templates are very useful, lots of new things for me. Maybe you could create something like time plan for implementation with workshops, descriptions, participants and deliverables from workshops to have a clear picture about actual work needs to be done, phases, recommended duration all in one place. From my point of view, everyone who is involved in any kind of data activity should take this course, it will definitely help figure out why Data Governance program is important, and why organizations need it.

George's material is logical, straight forward and accessible to everyone, whether you're just beginning your data governance (DG) journey, or you're a seasoned DG professional. The materials included in the course are just the right length, generally 5 to 10 minute video lessons, very good production quality and cover the right breadth of information. It's a great program and provides value at a reasonable cost, so I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about DG, as well as the basics of how to implement their DG program.

The length and quality of the course is just perfect. I personally loved the Bonus section - very crisp. Apart from that it is hard to pick as it was beyond my expectation and it truly lived up to its title. The section that I struggled with was Business Glossary , Data Dictionary and Data Catalog. The concept was well explained, but I missed a bit of visual representation of how these 3 hold together . Overall I would say it is a great course and would highly recommend it.
